I’ve been recently hired by a really great company called SurgeWorks. I started working for them earlier this week and it has been a really great experience. There’s a lot of great minds working there, and I’m really excited about all this.
It is my first job position in a non Brazilian company but i was already used to the telecommute kind of work. So things are going really smoothly so far.
I’m really happy about all that and i really hope that i can contribute to the company as much as they will contribute to my person.
Because of that, this week has been a busy week and i didn’t have time to write something to post. I’ll try to write something this weekend though. So stay tuned.

Here I am – finally – getting ready to wear my brand new blogsuit. I’ve been thinking about going to the blogosphere for a while but many reasons were pushing me back. Well, ok, laziness was pushing me back ;-)
For those who don’t know me – and you probably don’t – allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Rodrigo Kochenburger and I live in Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. I’m a developer with ~ 10 years of experience and I’m really passionate about what I do. After working with many languages and technologies, I’ve been working almost exclusively with Ruby and Rails since November 2004. I love Ruby. I know Ruby since 2002 but before 2004 i used it only for small things such as automation or small scripts, tools and daemons.
Since I work with Ruby on a daily basis, most of the posts in this blog will be somehow Ruby related. But since I’m a undergraduate student in Computer Science, I’m sure I’ll have others non-ruby related things to post about.
Oh, one last thing. You probably noted it already. English is not my primary language, so please forgive any english error ;)
